In 1982, Ivan Kranjec established the Madison County Farm Supply Feed Store in Fredericktown, Missouri. In fact, the first product that he sold was was eight simple bags of shelled corn. And it only kept growing from there! As time went on, the mill expanded in stages, and it began make its own cattle and livestock feed and carried a few brands of pet feed and carried the staples of the farm. This store still stands across the street, connected and the feed mill runs at full capacity on a daily schedule to this day.
In the early start of the new century, the 21st, Ivan slowly began to see the need of expansion from their now overworked store. He and his crew were amazed at the amount of growth that they had done, and it became time to grow even bigger. Over the course of several years, Ivan and his crew prepared to move his store across the street into the freshly renovated “Old Brown Shoe Building.” When opening day finally arrived in 2008, the store was able to supply a comprehensive line of products, and was much larger than the previously existing structure, as it held over 30,000 products. It’s capacity only continues to increase, and the store now carries many quality brands, such as ADM, Stockade, Carhartt, Red Wing Shoes, Key, Wrangler, John Deere, International Harvester, Forney, Koch, National Hardware, Hillman, Husqvarna, Manna Pro, Little Giant, Suckle, Ragland, and so much more that it cannot be listed on one page. The store works hard at providing farmers and homeowners with the many products they need at the best prices in the Southeast Missouri region.
